There are only a handful of novels I’ve read more than twice, and one of them is “The Handmaid’s Tale.” There was a lot of Margaret Atwood on my parents’ shelves, and I don’t remember whether my mother suggested it to me or if I picked it up on my own when I was 13 or 14.
